I went to see this yesterday.
For those of you who don't know, it's by director Michael Bay, who did Bad Boys, Armageddon, and Pearl Harbor. You either hate him or you love him for his shallow, unrealistic action flicks. His latest film stars Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johannsen (who looks pretty good as a blonde, hehe) as clones living in an underground facility, born to supply replacement organs and such for the real world. They find out the truth, escape, and action ensues.
Overall, I liked it. It's definitely the most mature of Bay's films stylistically speaking. It also explores a lot of interesting questions related to science, such as: How far will we go to live forever? One particular scene also seemed to me to be a very anti-abortion statement, which surprised me. I didn't expect that from Hollywood.
Unfortunately, this film is bombing at the box-office despite a great marketing campaign. So if you're bored, and want to watch a fun little movie, go see this one. It definitely shows how Bay has progressed beyond the idea of, "Let's just have lots of explosions and sex! People like that!"
