Heyy everybody!
My name is Sonia, but i like it when people call me Souwa (chinese name). I'm chinese-salvadorian, since my parents are Chinese but I was born in El Salvador. I was in the same school as Andrew and "stellarpatty" (PATS! te has perdido mujerr!! nos tenemos q ver lok, y me gusto tu post bien chivo..el larguito ) and I like Computers and English lit... hihi.
I will be going to college this year... to George Washington U, probably to study biomedical computing, if I don't change my mind eventually. However, I'm also planning to take courses on literature, and/or Chinese. Can't wait till I get there.
Hmmm... movies? Yeah... I like to watch movies, but I can't consider myself as a movieholic ever since I met Andrew, hehe. My favourite: Good Will Hunting. I like those which make you think... which either change your opinion, or those which deepen your viewpoint...... hmm, or simply make your mind spin for a while. On the other hand, I also agree with Patty: something light is always good every once in a while.
Music? It depends on the song. When it comes to music taste, I'm sorta all over the place. I like Chichi Peralta (ever heard of him?), Shakira (her first albums, mainly), Lifehouse, Matchbox 20, John Mayer, Sarah McLaughlan, Jesus Adrian Romero, Alan Silvestri, Third Day, ... among others . But, as I said... it really depends specifically on the song.
I am also a Christian... with no particular denomination. It's strange though... because my parents are sort of inclined to "Buddhism", or more precisely: to Chinese popular beliefs, which is actually a mix of supertitions, buddhism and others. But eventually, at around the age of ...*calculates*... 13, I decided to believe in Christ (YEAH!)... for various reasons which I might share with you as we go along, whenever there is a chance.
That's all for now folks... take care.
